Q. Can I get same day service? I don't want to wait a few days or a week for a service technician to come.

A. You most certainly can get same day service! Just ask us for fast help when you call. If you call too late for same day service we will be able to come to your home or office the next day. You will never have to wait a week for a service technician to arrive.

Q. Is the technician you are going to send knowledgeable? Are they state certified?

A. Absolutely, our technicians are knowledgeable. In fact knowledgeable and thoughtful solutions are our hallmark. All of our technicians are professionals in the field of pest control. Each technician is individually licensed in the state of New Jersey as a pest control applicator. Not only do they each pass a state certification exam, but are required by law to take continuing education hours to maintain their New Jersey pest applicator's license. Each technician will pass the state exam for the core test and category tests such as general pest control, termite control, and IPM in schools category 13. They are each re certified every five years.

Q. How long have we been in business?

A. Our pest control business was started in 1989 and has rapidly grown to be a top northern New Jersey pest control provider. In 2008, the firm was renamed to Heritage Pest Control and has been operating under this name since. Heritage Pest Control is owned by Chuck Benevento, a pest control industry professional, licensed pest technician, and our business owner.

Q. Do you offer "green" pest control or organic pest control services?

A. Yes we do offer green pest control which is sometimes called organic pest control. We have a defined three tier service program. You can select to use "green" chemicals combined with synthetic residuals, "green" materials first with synthetics used only if needed, or all "green" materials. We invite you to visit our natural pest control services page for more information. All of our Seasonal Home Protection Plans are available as "green".

Ask us your northern NJ pest questions. We have the answers!Q. Are you licensed and insured?

A. Heritage Pest Control is licensed to provide pest control services in the state of New Jersey and fully insured with liability, workman's comp., vehicle insurance, and disability insurance.

Q. You've just treated for my pest and it is gone, why should I consider purchasing a Seasonal Protection Plan?

A. Although we have solved your pest problem for now, by their very nature, pests can re colonize your environment. Ants can come in from outside and set up a new colony, termites can move into your yard from your neighbor's yard, or mice can even find a new way in to your home. A Seasonal Protection Plan that provides for a three time a year review by our pest technician assures that your home stays pest-free. On top of that, should you have a pest problem your calls for covered pests are free anytime during that year. At the end of the year, you can choose to renew your service for another year. We consider our Seasonal Protection Plan a great way to keep your family healthy and safe from pest related problems and illness.

Q. Are the materials you use for my pest control treatment safe for kids and pets?

A. All the materials we use are carefully regulated by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). All of our pest technicians are state licensed and so are trained in the safe recommendation, use, and application of all materials we recommend and use. After treatment, depending on the pest and materials used, we may recommend that children and pets not visit the areas we have treated until the material is dry to the touch. In other cases we may ask you to cover your fish tanks or remove pets from the environment. We will always take time to inform you of any advanced preparation or special actions you need to take based on the pest we are treating for as we work hard to keep you and your family safe.

Q. We need to have our pest control service scheduled in the morning before our office is open to customers. We don't want stinky sprays chasing away our customers, what can be done?

A. At Heritage Pest Control, we only use low odor materials for our pest control treatments. We've found that most customers won't smell evidence of our pest control treatments; they will only see the effectiveness based on their new pest-free environment as we provide services.

Q. I have bed bugs and understand that before treatment I have to have my areas "prepped". What does that mean, and what exactly do I have to do?

A. The success of your bed bug treatment extermination service is in part your responsibility. Although we feel that the treatment and materials we use provide excellent extermination results, our efforts can be helped or hindered by your preparation of the treatment area. For fast extermination we recommend that your room be as clean as you would make it as if you were repainting. That means clutter picked up, furniture moved away from the walls, clothing in drawers removed and bagged. For more information on what you need to have ready, please visit our bed bug FAQ page and treatment preparation section.

Q. I am concerned about termites. Do you have a plan that will give me peace of mind?

A. Yes we do. Not only do we provide termite inspection services, but we have a product called the Halo Electronic Termite Detection System. This system is innovative in that it monitors for termite activity and is chemical free. Our pest technician uses a handheld electronic monitor to read for termite evidence at a three time a year visit. If termite activity is found in the unit prompt treatment for termites can be completed. Find out more about this revolutionary product.
