Heritage Pest Control Offers Three Choices for Termite Control and Termite Colony Eradication
When it comes to termite treatment and termite control, Heritage Pest Control is a top New Jersey termite control specialist to call. We recommend three different termite control systems: Termidor, Exterra, and Halo. Don't let termites destroy your home; take action now to get your termite problem under control before damage repairs becomes costly.
Exterra Termite Interception and Baiting System
This is an advanced Termite Baiting System that utilizes the termites' own biology to work against themselves and to kill the entire colony. The unique baiting system allows for careful monitoring of termite activity. If activity is found, Labyrinth Termite Bait, that is delectable yet deadly to termites, is introduced into the bait station. The bait station is not disturbed and termites continue to feed, but this time on the Labyrinth Termite Bait inside the station. The chemical in the bait acts slowly and inhibits termite molting which causes death; eliminating the colony over time.
The
first step in installing
the Exterra Termite Interception and Baiting System is to install Exterra's 4" round
10"
tall bait stations in the soil around your home's or building's structure.
Each bait station contains six interceptors (wood strips inserted in
grooves inside the bait station), which line the interior of the station
to attract termites. We then monitor the stations for termite activity.
When activity is found we bait the stations with the Labyrinth Termite
Bait.
The termite workers will feed on the bait, digest it, and feed the rest of the termite colony in the ground by regurgitating the bait. The termites will continue to feed on the bait until colony elimination is achieved. The bait actually prevents termites from molting, which they must do to grow, and so effectively over time kills individual termites one at a time. Once control has been achieved, yearly maintenance is provided to make sure any new termite activity is addressed before termites enter your home or building.
We have used the Exterra Termite Interception and Baiting System for over 10 years with impressive results. This system is great as a low impact, non-invasive approach to termite control. For best protection we recommend that after the initial termite treatment warranty period, that you maintain a yearly termite protection plan with annual inspections to insure your home or building remain termite free.
Termidor Liquid Application System
The Termidor product is bar-none the best liquid termiticide on the market. Termidor is the only product we use because of its unprecedented success rate in complete colony kill. Not only can it be used to bring a termite problem under control but is routinely used to exterminate carpenter ants and household ants as an exterior application. Termidor has become the #1 termite defense product in the United States.
Termidor is a non-repellent material, which means once a barrier is established in the ground the termites don't detect it. They travel through the chemical material in the soil getting the substance on their bodies and transferring the termiticide material back into the colony. This "transfer effect" is what makes Termidor so effective; one termite worker can get the particles on his body and transfer those particles to 100 other termites in the colony as they groom each other. This will ultimately result in total colony elimination.
In testing, Termidor has consistently been proven to be the fastest and most effective termite control product for eliminating termites found in structures. Not only does it kill any termites that are present, but it has residual effects and keeps killing termites that may appear and cross through the chemical barrier. In testing done by the Department of Agriculture-Forest Service, Termidor treated plots killed termites for more than 14 years after the initial treatment. Pest professionals have protected over 3.75 million US homes with Termidor since it was introduced in 2000.
For best protection we recommend that after the initial termite treatment warranty period, that you maintain a yearly termite protection plan with annual inspections to insure your home or building remain termite free.

contains a wood based sensor that termites like to eat.
- Termites, if they are present will eat the layered material inside the
monitoring station. When termites have
disturbed this special layered material, the Halo hand-held indicator device
will light up and sound an alarm when the monitoring station is check
electronically by a pest professional carrying the hand-held unit.
