The Bed Bugs Among Us

New York City has been known as the nation’s bed bug capital for a number of years report NJ pest control experts.  Knowing bed bugs as we do…they are master hitchhikers and they tend to multiply out-of-control, it stands to reason that bed bugs would become more common in areas that surround The Big Apple as well.  New Jersey may be a little state, but it is considered to be one of America’s hot spots when it comes to bed bug infestations say New Jersey pest control professionals.

New Jersey’s bed bug problem has grown tremendously over the past five years.  One of the reasons for the increase is presumably because New Jersey serves as hub of rail and bus travel on the East Coast.  Because of the frequency of overnight travelers into and out of the state, many short stay New Jersey hotels and motels often find themselves facing the bloodsucking monsters.  Trains, bus, taxis, airplanes, and airports are not immune to the bed bug plight.  Many commuters and travelers have unwittingly brought home unwanted pests when they travel on business or pleasure, and when they commute to nearby New York City or Philadelphia.

NJ pest control experts believe that residents should always remain vigilant and look for bed bugs no matter what part of New Jersey they reside in.  High density areas, like many of the ones that you will find in New Jersey, are at particular risk of having bed bugs.  Heritage Pest Control provides expert bed bug removal services in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, and Passaic County, New Jersey.
